Alix Campbell – Bloom Editing

 

My name is Alix from Bloom Editing. I am a perfectionist with a passion for words. I have a BA in English Literature and have studied editing as part of the post graduate Publishing Diploma through the highly regarded publishing programme at Whitireia, New Zealand. I am currently a contributing editor at The Lumiere Reader, New Zealand's leading online film and arts review. I also have many years experience with writing, editing and proofreading in the public service, including drafting and editing material on behalf of various parliamentary ministers. My interests include literature, gardening, health and nutrition, writing for the web, photography, the outdoors and more. I studied horticulture after leaving school, have travelled extensively overseas, and have a wide range of interests which makes me well-suited to tackling texts with a variety of topics.

With a Masters degree in English literature and a background in English teaching and editing, Chris Benge has helped many authors and publishers bring their manuscripts up to publishing standard. His text proofing focus is complemented by Diane's experience in writing for and editing a national bimonthly magazine for more than a decade: she focuses on the clarity and readability of text. Together they offer a comprehensive service in manuscript preparation.

In addition to this, Kapiti Print Media has designed covers and text for a number of self-publishers, including prolific NZ social historian and novelist David McGill, local and family historians, children's writers, and various New Zealand organisations. They also create websites to assist publishers to promote and sell their work online.
